Earl Swindale “Dale” Wayne, Jr., age 71, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, passed away peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Life Care, Wilmington, NC, on Friday, December 27, 2024. Dale was born in Columbus County on April 3, 1953 to the late Earl Swindale Wayne, Sr and Dorothy Rachel Baumgardner Wayne.
Dale worked as a foreman at International Paper for over 40 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Sally Marks Wayne of the home, a sister; Cheryl Wayne Gore of Carthage, NC, a niece; Lisa Gore George (Jody) of Cameron, NC and 2 great nieces; Hannah Evans and Emily George.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Darryl Hester officiating.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Wayne family.
