Matthew Earl Dean Nye, 44 of Hallsboro, gained his angel wings on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his home.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Tammy Dawn Nye and Kevin Simmons; and his “Aunt T” Patricia Moore.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:50 prior to the service on Friday.
Matthew is survived by his children, Nakoah Matthew Nye and Aurianah Grace Nye; Sisters Carlee Farmer (Trey) of Delco, Brittney Solvey (Michael) of Elon; Niece, Natalie Farmer. Nephews; Jacob Farmer, Skylar and Jax Solvey; Grandfather, Benny Nye, Sr. of Lake Waccamaw; Uncles, Jonathan Nye (Amber) of Supply, Graham Nye of Lake Waccamaw; Aunt Jessica Kissel (Wally) of Supply, Louie (Lisa) and Benny Jr.(Meribeth) of Lake Waccamaw; Aunt, Gayle Simmons (Roxboro); and many cousins who were so special to his heart.
