Here’s today’s Bottom Line
The Nor’easter continues to slowly work its way up the east coast. This, combined with blocking high pressure farther to the north, will continue to push cool northerly winds down the coast. This, combined with warmer air from the Gulf rising “up and over” the cooler air, will mean lots of clouds and spotty showers for today.
A more northwesterly flow develops on Friday, scouring out the wedge and leading to bright sunny skies. High pressure then pushes in from the west bringing clear skies and slowly warming temps well into next week.
TROPICS: An area of low pressure located a few hundred miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands is accompanied by a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This system could become a short-lived tropical depression today or Friday while it moves northwestward to northward. However, strong upper-level winds should end the opportunity for development by the weekend.
