Flock traffic cameras helped capture a South Carolina man wanted for a string of thefts in Columbus County.
Brian Keith Misenheimer, 51, of Marion, S.C., was held under $175,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office. He faces charges of breaking and entering, larceny, second degree trespassing, felony possession of cocaine, assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, and fleeing to elude arrest.
The sheriff’s office said on July 6 deputies were investigating the report of a stolen utility trailer near Tabor City when they were provided with surveillance images of the theft. Flock technology was used to identify Misenheimer and his vehicle. Warrants were drawn for his arrest, and his vehicle information entered in the Flock system.
Detectives found his vehicle using Flock on July 9, the report said, and he allegedly attempted to strike a detective with his car. Misenheimer struck a parked vehicle, then drove into a ditch while trying to flee, the report said.

“During the attempted escape, he drove over a curb, causing the vehicle to come to rest near a detective. Misenheimer continued attempting to drive away; however, the vehicle became stuck and could not proceed any farther,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
During a search of the vehicle, the report said detectives found suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and steaks reported stolen from the Tabor City Food Lion.
“At the time the stolen merchandise was recovered,” the press release said, “the theft had not yet been discovered or reported by the business.”
A passenger in the vehicle, Jerome Boyd Hemingway, 47, was wanted on multiple counts of failure to appear on a felony charge, the release said. He was held under $25,000 secured bond.
