Phyllis Crayton Anderson age 78, of Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center of Whiteville, NC.
Born in Spruce Pine, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Betty Grindstaff.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sammy R. Anderson of Whiteville, NC; one daughter, Amy Trythall and husband Joe of Williamson, GA; two grandchildren, Austin Hege of Conway, SC, and Madison Hege of Conway, SC; three brothers, Wayne Grindstaff and wife Doris of Wilmington, NC, Douglas Grindstaff and wife Sara of Mooresville, NC, and Dean Crayton and wife Barb of Thomasville, NC; one sister, Carol Huffman and husband Brian of North Wilkesboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00pm until 3:15pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3:30pm in the Inman Ward Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Zion Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice 206 Warrior Trail Rd.
