He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A Service of Remembrance will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 12, at Peoples Funeral Chapel.
Surviving are his sons, Justin Ford and Jovon Coleman; mother, Hilda Faye Coleman Thompson of Whiteville; brothers, Marcus Coleman and David Scarlett of Durham, NC and Cedric Scarlett of Greenville, NC.
Friends may visit the family at 649 Lynn Hill Road, Whiteville, NC.
