By Justin Williamson – Brews & Bites
Today’s column is Part Two to the “What Are My Options” report, focusing on the western side of our wonderful county.
Growing up as a Chadbourn native and spending many days in Cerro Gordo and Fair Bluff, these are my hometown options and I have eaten at all but one of these locations many times. Grills and small footprint dinners are there to serve our smaller communities as hubs for a bite or a quick grab and go meal. These are usually a wonderful breakfast option and some here even have signature specials and hot plate lunches available.
Here are 14 known food vendors in this region. Each is a vital part of the communities they serve. Let’s get out there and give them some love.
I hear there are new establishments coming soon, so stay tuned!
Chadbourn has eight options:

A few of my favorites from this list are:
• Cindy’s Kountry Kitchen has been continuing a Chadbourn tradition that dates back to the early 1970’s. Serving a fresh cooked daily special with plenty of seating in a historic building and prompt table service for your breakfast or lunch meal.
• At Bullard’s Meats and Grill, Ricky and the crew are good folks and they are cooking up some tasty offerings out in the Cerro Gordo area. It’s not the easiest to locate for the first time, but get off the main road and get you some good cooking and more.
In closing, I again challenge you to find some different locations to grab a Brew or Bite out in a new area. Explore the options we have right here in ColCo. You never know who or what you might stumble upon in your journey.
As always I am open to take your feedback or suggestions.
