Ex-girlfriend Charged for Drugs, Headbutting Partition

Multiple charges were filed against a woman after she allegedly tried to break into an ex-boyfriend’s residence, headbutted the “cage” in a patrol car, and took drugs into the detention center.

Tracy Lynn Spivey, 39, was held under $5,500 secured bond in the Tuesday incident.

Deputies were called to a home in the 2500 block of Pleasant Plains Church Road just before 1 a.m., according to the report. The caller told deputies that Spivey, his former girlfriend, was “beating on the back door” of the residence. Deputies searched the area, but did not find anyone.

Shortly after clearing the scene, deputies were called back because the woman had returned, according to the report. They found her standing in the back yard of the home, “highly intoxicated, emotional, and irate,” the report said. Deputies noticed damage to the back door, and took Spivey into custody.

In the patrol car, Spivey began headbutting the partition separating the front and rear seats of the vehicle. She was checked for injuries on arrival at the sheriff’s office. While being processed, deputies discovered a small quantity of crack cocaine hidden in her bra.

Spivey was charged with property damage and possession of crack cocaine in the detention center. Her address was listed on arrest records as 16 Peach Tree St., Whiteville.
