Southeastern Community College (SCC) is inviting adult learners, job seekers, and career changers to connect with local employers, explore job openings, and learn about educational programs that can lead to high-demand careers at a Career Expo on Friday, April 4, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Located on campus at SCC’s T-Building, college staff will also be available during the event to discuss career pathways, training opportunities, and financial aid options, including the NextNC Scholarship, which makes community college free for most students by covering tuition and fees.
This event coincides with this month’s launch of SCC’s Better Skills. Better Jobs initiative —an outreach campaign dedicated to reaching more adult learners and helping them gain the skills and credentials needed to access higher-paying jobs that meet current workforce demand.
Friday’s event is from 12:30-2 p.m. and is open to the public.
SCC is located at 5464 Chadbourn Hwy., Whiteville.
