Here’s today’s Bottom Line

High pressure off to our northeast will bring an easterly to southeasterly wind flow off the Atlantic today. This will result in a cool, moist air layer bringing lots of clouds to the area. I believe we’ll have some breaks of sunshine this afternoon, but on the whole we’re probably going to be looking at a steely gray sky throughout the day.

A warm front lifts north over the area tonight. Our temps will actually rise during the overnight and should be well into the 70s early Thursday morning. Very strong Bermuda high pressure ridge then takes over for Thursday through most of Sunday bringing us a taste of summer with hot temperatures and the very slight chance for an afternoon storm.

Our next storm system is a complex one and looks to take aim on Columbus County by Sunday night into Monday. It’s a bit early to call specifics on this, but there’s a potential for a rather copious rainfall if things line up just right.

Here’s your Freedoms Insurance Today-plus-Five forecast:

That will conclude today’s report. Thanks for your time, and as always, take care!
