Rodney Eugene Carroll 87, passed away at his home peacefully on May 18, 2025. He was born April 7, 1938 in Columbus Co., N.C., the son of the late Rodney Carroll and Lela Williams Carroll. He formerly owned and operated R.E. Carroll’s and Delco Auto Parts Inc. He was a lifelong hardworking man and loved his family. He was a dedicated member of Delco PFWB Church.
He is survived by sons, Randy Carroll of Delco, NC., and Marvin Carroll (Nicole) of Delco, NC., a daughter Melinda Strickland (Jimmy) of Whiteville, NC, a brother David Carroll, sisters Barbara Davis (Charles) of Whiteville, NC., Patricia Vereen (Mack) of Decatur, TX., brother-in-law, Ralph Merritt, grandchildren, Winston Mintz, and Summer Carroll.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eva Carroll, father, Rodney Carroll, mother, Lela Carroll, sister, Rosemary Merritt.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Delco Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Lestic, Rev. Patsy Smith, and Rev. Dewey Ball officiating. Visitation will be held and hour prior.
The family would like to give thanks to caregivers, Joyce Ellis, Becky Bullard, Sandra Dale, Penny Blake and all Gentiva Staff.
