Horry County Police are investigating after a worker at a kangaroo farm was found dead Friday.
Horry Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said Eric Slate, 52, died of multiple blunt injuries. He was found inside an animal’s enclosure at Five Star Farm near Loris.
The facility on Highway 746 raises kangaroos and wallabies, and has a public petting zoo with camels and other exotic animals.
Slate’ s family owns and operates the farm near Loris. An autopsy will be performed, according to HCPD.
