Deborah Dahl is being held on no bond on more charges of animal cruelty, according to warrants. Dahl, 70, was arrested in June on 80 counts of animal cruelty and one of practicing medicine without a license. She was released on bond and arrested a second time Tuesday, this time charges with abusing and neglecting at least eight rabbits. The bulldogs and Cane Corsos seized in the initial raid are being held at the animal shelter.
Columbus County will be letting freedom ring all over the county this week. Independence Day activities will span from Tuesday through Saturday, from Tabor City to Lake Waccamaw, and everywhere in between. Fireworks, fundraisers, and parades will head up the celebrations as we step into the Good News for July 2.
