Tammy M. Bickel, age 63, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Nichols, South Carolina. Born on May 10, 1962, in Oil City, Pennsylvania. Tammy brought laughter and joy to those around her throughout her life.
Tammy was a kindhearted soul who loved her family deeply. She cared about the smallest details of her loved ones’ lives; she always wanted to hear your stories and how your day went. Her presence lit up every room she entered – whether through her silly antics or the hilarious sayings that became cherished by family lore. She lived life on her own terms, embracing each day with spirit and humor that left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 42 years, who always told her he married the prettiest girl in town, Douglas Bickel; daughters, Tara Swab and her husband, Dan Swab, and Sheena Love and her husband, Justin Love; as well as a grandson, Daniel Swab and his wife, Lucia Swab. Tammy also leaves behind many loving extended family members who will continue to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Yvonne Bish as well as her grandson, Joseph Swab.
Tammy found joy in simple pleasures of life. She has a passion for gardening, nurturing beauty from the earth and with care and patience. She loved to travel and try new things, always being up for anything. She also enjoyed attending the races, where the energy and excitement matched her vibrant personality.
A celebration of life will be announced for the family to gather to honor Tammy’s memory in a way that reflects the warmth and laughter she brought into their lives.
