West Bladen Lady Knights Volleyball downed West Columbus to stay unbeaten in Cerro Gordo Monday. The Knights took down the Vikings in straight sets 25-11, 25-13, and 25-19.
Greer Pope set the pace again for the Knights with a solid performance, nailing five aces, 10 assists, and a kill. Natalee Sykes contributed 7 assists and a kill. The Knights now go to 4-0 on the season. West Columbus Lady Vikings fell to 0-4.
West Bladen will host county rival East Bladen on Wednesday. West Columbus goes to Union (0-4) on Tuesday.
In Elizabethtown Monday, the Clinton Dark Horses swept the East Bladen Lady Eagles Volleyball 3-0.
Clinton took out the Eagles with scores of 25-14, 25-17, and 25-14. The Eagles were led by Aubrei Nixon with four kills and two blocks. Taylor Dowless had five kills and two blocks and Cabria Baldwin contributed two kills and two blocks.
The Eagles (0-5) travel to West Bladen Wednesday. The Dark Horses face undefeated Mintz Christian Academy (7-0) on Thursday at home.
