Edgar Dale Stanley, 72, of Clarendon, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville.
Dale was born on February 27, 1953, son of the late Edgar Worth Staley and Earline Ward Stanley. He was the widower of Barbara W. Stanley and also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Angelia Hope Wilkins.
Dale loved fishing, racing, and wrestling, but above all, he loved the Lord.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00-2:45 p.m. in the chapel.
Surviving family includes her daughter, Alischa Kay Stanley of Pelham; step-son, Johnny Wilkins (Jackie) of Orrum; siblings, Diane Stanley (Wayne) of Chadbourn and Johnny Stanley (Betty) of Clarendon; grandchildren, Pamela Campbell (Joseph), Bethany Cheyenne Justice, Kalyn Wilkins, Kane Wilkins, and Samantha McKeithan; great-grandchildren, Mason Campbell, Colton Cleveland, and Carson Cleveland; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
