Mrs. Ruby Waddell Hardy 92, of Whiteville, NC gave the Lord her hand and entered into eternity on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC. She was the wife of the late Mr. John P. Hardy and the daughter of the late Mr. Samuel Waddell and Mrs. Connie Hatcher Waddell of Bolton, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Hardy will be conducted on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the Smith Funeral Home Chapel of Whiteville, NC with Evangelist Ruth Waddell eulogizing. Burial will follow in Restwell Cemetery #1 in Bolton, NC.
Mrs. Hardy was predeceased by her only son Johnnie Allen Long. Mrs. Hardy is survived by her daughter Mrs. Connie Long O’Neil of Whiteville, NC, a host of grandchildren, one brother: Wilbert Waddell, a host of family and friends.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
