The Burger
Jerry’s Sandwich Shop falls in line with a cheeseburger that hit the standard area metric: hand formed griddle-cooked patty, American cheese, mustard, and chili on a traditional white hamburger bun.
Price: $4.25
Flavor: 3 – Solid overall, but didn’t compare in flavor to the level of the previous competitors. Pepper forward, but didn’t have the flavor balance to score higher. Texture: 1 – Patty was cooked well, not dry, but not moist. Bun was soft.
Build and Balance: 2 – Large patty, tasted all ingredients evenly.
Presentation: 1 – Served on paper, some cheese melt. No grease seep.
Total: 7 Points
Jerry’s is a solid choice for a Whiteville Style burger, currently third place among our entries.
Ed’s Grill: 8
Etna Diner: 9
Jerry’s: 7
Next will be a burger from Ivey’s Cafe for evaluation.
