Deborah Gore, age 73 went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 16th, 2025. Born on December 11th, 1951, in Columbus County, NC. She lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family and community. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She graduated from Trident Technical College in 1986 and she took great pride in her nursing career. She had a deep passion to care for others in a time of need. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued. She loved getting to know people and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Her warmth and generosity left an imprint on everyone’s lives she touched as she became a friend to many in just a few minutes of talking to her. She cherished yearly trips to Edisto Island, watching sunsets and waves crashing down… a tradition that brought together loved ones and created lasting memories. Deborah had a passion for watching birds. Her favorites being hummingbirds and cardinals. She had a passion for gardening as she loved to watch her beautiful plants and flowers bloom.
Deborah is survived by her father, George Craig II of Clarendon, NC, her daughter, Melissa Gore of Summerville, SC, her son, Steven Gore (Cassy) of Hope Mills, NC, her granddaughter, Rachael Droze of Summerville, SC, her brothers, Gary Craig (Martha) of Shannon, NC, Tony Craig (Lynda) of Whiteville, NC, and Chris Craig (Christina) of Tabor City, NC, and Sister-in-law Katrina Gilliam (Larry) of Whiteville, NC.
Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Gregory G. Gore, her mother, Julene Craig, and her brother, George “Billy” Craig III.
Her memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 26, 2025 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Gore Cemetery, 5030 M M Ray Rd., Clarendon, NC. 28432
Her family will receive friends at 10:00 am Friday prior to her service at Peacock Funeral Home.
