Ella Jane Phipps Cox, age 78, of Clarendon, NC, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025. Born January 14, 1947 in Brunswick County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Grover Phipps and Gracie Jane Sarvis Phipps.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Cox Fowler (Jeffery) of Clarendon, NC; one son, Joe Leon Cox (Amy Greene Cox) of Chadbourn, NC; four grandchildren, Scott Fowler, Cody Fowler, Aubrey Hardin, and Holly Williams; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Phipps Haskett of Morehead City, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Deloach Cox; two brothers, Robert Glenn Phipps, and Don Carlton Phipps.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Old Zion Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in the Old Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
