In Lake Waccamaw, East Bladen defeated East Columbus 4-1 in soccer Wednesday.
Ishaq Algozy dished out four assists, two to Jayce Hatcher and two to Layden Scott in the victory. With the win, the Eagles clinched second place in the Carolina Conference regular season with the win. They hosted West Columbus on Thursday. East Columbus is 3-7-2, 5-9-2) for the season.
On Thursday, East Bladen returned home and downed West Columbus 9-0. Jayce Hatcher led the Eagles with two goals and Ishaq Algozy contributed a goal and dished out four assists.
The Eagles finished the regular season 8-2-2 in the Carolina Conference and 11-5-4 on the season. West Columbus’ record goes to 0-12 in the conference and 0-13 overall.
In Whiteville, the Wolfpack got past South Columbus 3-0 on Wednesday.
Whiteville (4-3, 7-11-2) will host Red Springs (5-2, 10-7) on Monday for their Southeastern Conference regular season final. With a win, the Pack can clinch a tie for second place in the regular season. The Red Devils defeated the Wolfpack 2-1 in their earlier regular season contest.
South Columbus record falls to 0-8 in the conference and 1-16 overall.
