Angiolina (Angie) Dora Orlando Hinson

June 11, 1934 ~ November 10, 2025 (age 91)

Angiolina (Angie) Dora Orlando Hinson, 91, of Whiteville, went home to be with Jesus on November 10, 2025, at her residence.

Angie was born on June 11, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy Hinson; parents Ottaviano “Tony” and Esther Orlando; and sisters Mary, Francis, and Violet.

Funeral service commemorating Angie’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday, at New Hope Baptist Church.

While living in California, Angie met her beloved husband, Billy Hinson, a Navy sailor from Whiteville, on a blind date at the Lawrence Welk Show; together, they shared a lifetime of love, faith, and laughter.

Angie’s hobbies included baking/cooking, spending time with family, hosting parties, seamstress making clothes and fixing hair for others. She also enjoyed making crafts, accumulating stray cats, sunbathing by the beach or pool, giving to others, and dancing.

Angie is cherished and remembered by her daughter, Rhonda Hinson Bullard-Dutton and husband David; granddaughter, Erica Bullard Stocks and husband Brad, and great-grandchildren Brice, Blake, and Emmy Stocks; grandson, David Dutton, III and his wife Teresa, and great-granddaughter, Augusta Dutton. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Pandora “Panda”.

She was deeply loved by many nieces and nephews on both the Hinson and Orlando sides of the family; She loved all her family!
