Paul Eugene Nance, Jr. 83, of Chadbourn, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 7, 2025, while in Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
Gene was born on October 28, 1942, son of the late Paul E. Nance, Sr. and Thelma Inez McAllister Nance. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary McLelland Nance and his sister, Alice Faye Davis.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Cerro Gordo Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Nance Family Cemetery in Chadbourn.
Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
Gene was a faithful member of Cerro Gordo Methodist Church, and was a founding/charter member of Cerro Gordo Fire & Rescue.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind one son, Paul Eugene Nance, III and his wife, Brandy, of Cerro Gordo; four grandchildren, Andrew Nance, Kinley Nance, Paul Nance, and Adalyn Nance.
