LAKE WACCAMAW—Amber Ochoa pitched a two-hit shutout as East Columbus defeated West Brunswick 5-0 on Tuesday in softball.
The Gators are now 15-5 on the year with the win. Aleigh Godwin had two hits and an RBI for East Columbus.
The Gators (7-1, 15-5) get back into Carolina Conference play when they travel to Lakewood (2-5, 4-11) on Thursday. West Brunswick (13-6) will host Topsail (14-6) on Friday.

DUBLIN—South Columbus stunned previously unbeaten West Bladen 4-1 in softball Tuesday night.
Abigail Dew led the Knights with a hit and an RBI in the loss. West Bladen is now 6-1 in the Southeastern Conference and 9-8 overall. The Stallions move to 4-3 in the conference and 6-10 on the season. The two teams will do a rematch at South Columbus on Friday.

RED SPRINGS—Whiteville split a double-header with Red Springs on Tuesday, winning Game One 6-5 and losing the second game 7-4. It was the first win of the season for the Wolfpack.
The Pack are now 1-7 in the Southeastern Conference and 1-7 and 1-12 on the season. They will host South Columbus (4-3, 6-10) on April 28.

CERRO GORDO—Grayce Edwards pounded out four doubles to knock in six runs as East Bladen crushed West Columbus 17-1 in softball Tuesday.
Niyah Wooten also went 3-3 with a homerun for the Eagles, who moved to 4-3 in the Carolina Conference and 6-11 on the season.
West Columbus falls to 4-3 in the conference and 4-9 on the year. East Bladen will go to Union (0-9, 4-11) on Thursday while West Columbus will host Whiteville (1-12) on Monday.
