Fight at Campground Leads to Charges

Deputies arrested a Supply man after he allegedly got into a drunken fight with his father and fired a shot Saturday night at an area campground.

Jared Chance Carter, 29, of 2839 Costal Shores Rd. SW, Supply, was released on a $1,500 secured bond, according to Detention Center reports. He was charged with disorderly conduct, intoxicated and disruptive behavior, and carrying a gun into an establishment or assembly.

Deputies were called to Lumber River Campground around midnight Saturday to a report of a disturbance. Warrants show that that Carter was “fighting with his dad”, Alexander Carter,  when he drew a gun and fired. Jared Carter was intoxicated at the time, according to the warrant.

No injuries were reported.
