Southeastern Community College is proud to announce the 2026 commencement exercise for Friday, May 8 honoring the graduating class of 2026. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the front lawn of SCC, beginning at 9 a.m.
Cap and Gown Pick-Up
Graduates who pre-ordered their cap and gown may pick them up from the Orcutt Bookstore between April 20 – May 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. If you did not pre-order, you may still purchase your cap and gown during this time.
Graduation Packets
Graduation packets will be available for pickup on Wednesday, May 6, in the Admissions Office (A Building) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, May 7, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Each packet includes:
- Special guest tickets
- Honors recognition cords (if applicable)
- Name card for graduation day
Graduation Rehearsal: Thursday, May 7
Rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 3-5 p.m. in the SCC Auditorium. Graduation packets not picked up on May 6 will be available from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. that day.
Graduation Day Schedule: Friday, May 8
- 8 a.m. Graduates report to the SCC Auditorium for line-up. Special guests report to reserved seating in front of A-Building.
- 8:45 a.m. The graduation processional lineup will begin promptly.
- 9 a.m. The graduation ceremony begins in front of the A-Building.
Rain Plan: In the event of rain, notifications will be sent out by text message and social media. The graduation ceremony will be held in the SCC Auditorium for graduates only.

Capture the Moment
Following the graduation ceremony, two designated photo spots will be available in front of A-Building. Guests are welcome to take photos at either location with their families and friends! Tag us and use hashtag #SCCGrad26 when you post your photos – we’d love to celebrate with you!
