Here’s our updated rain-free streak…
That rain-free streak *MIGHT* come to an end today. A cold front will drop southeast over the state this afternoon. There’s the CHANCE that a few spotty showers or even a skinny “convective” line may accompany the front. It’s not likely, and the model projection rainfall is little to none, but every drop counts.
Whatever we get today will not mitigate the drought or fire weather concerns.
We will see a SIGNIFICANT temperature drop behind the front, such that temps by suppertime today might be in the upper 60s or lower 70s. Temps tonight drop to the lower 40s with clearing skies. So the ride to work tomorrow morning is going to be rather chilly.
Dry high pressure will dominate through the entire work week. Highs tomorrow and Tuesday will be in the lower 70s… rising to the lower 80s by Wednesday… then the upper 80s to around 90 Thursday and Friday.
