Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Welcome to the Saturday edition of the CCN Daily Weather Update!

Here’s our updated rain-free streak…

If you liked yesterday’s weather (high temp of 91 on my station in Whiteville), you’ll love today… but a bit of change is coming for Sunday.

A massive ridge of high pressure remains parked offshore. That is responsible for the heat and dry weather we’ve been all week long.

Even with the potential for some showers on Sunday (see below), model blend rainfall projections for the next 7-10 days looks pretty slim.

We’ll have one more day of sunny, hot weather today, with highs into the lower 90s.

A cold front will sweep southeast across the state on Sunday. This may bring a few scattered showers to some areas… not everyone will see rain, and those who do… well it won’t amount to very much.

We will experience MUCH cooler temps Sunday night through Monday and Monday night. Early morning lows on Monday and Tuesday will be in the lower 40s. Highs on Monday should reach the lower 70s thanks to full late-April sunshine, and to seasonal normal values by Tuesday (mid 70s). We’ll warm back into the 80s for the second half of the work week.
