Here’s today’s Bottom Line:
The burn ban remains in place for the time being, at least as of the time of this writing.
Dry and warm conditions will continue today as a strong ridge of high pressure remains locked in place over Bermuda.
No rain in sight for today or Friday. Temperatures will be very similar to yesterday… generally in the lower 80s… with morning clouds and fog giving way to sunshine.
The southerly flow becomes quite moist on Saturday and some of the modeling suggests a few showers may try to pop up during the day. I think the coverage will be very spotty/isolated, and by all means do not cancel any outdoor plans … but just keep an eye to the sky as a few rain drops may fall.
Much better chances for rain Easter Sunday AFTERNOON well ahead of a cold front that will cross late Sunday evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms should develop in the warm southerly flow Sunday afternoon, culminating in a line of sorts moving through with the front Sunday evening. It’s still a bit early in this process, but overall rainfall amounts should be light. National Blend of Models suggests only a quarter of an inch or less … that’s not good news. Rainfall projections after the cold front are nearly zero through much of next week.
