TABOR CITY—The McLean duo of Luke and Layton struck out 10 batters for the Pack as Whiteville defeated South Columbus 7-5 Thursday night to go through the Southeastern Conference undefeated at 10-0.
Jayden Todd knocked in three runs to help the Wolfpack finish the regular season with a 15-6 record overall. Whiteville will go into the 3A playoffs as the conference champion and are a projected high seed for the playoffs to be announced on Monday.
South Columbus (3-7, 9-12) are projected to receive a bid for the 3A playoffs and could host a home first round game.

DUBLIN—South Brunswick stopped a red hot West Bladen team 11-0 on Thursday night to clinch second place in the Southeastern Conference. South Brunswick finishes the regular season at &-3 in the conference and 15-10 overall.
The Cougars will await the 5A playoff brackets to be announced on Monday for their playoff opponent to be determined. West Bladen concludes the regular season at 6-4 in the conference and 17-7 overall. The loss ended the Knights’ nine-game winning streak. West Bladen is expected to receive a high seed for the 3A bracket to be announced on Monday.

LAKE WACAMMAW—East Bladen finished up the Carolina Conference regular season with a 15-3 win over East Columbus on Thursday night.
The Eagles concluded the Carolina Conference regular season with a 8-4 record and 11-10 overall. East Columbus finishes the regular season at 9-3 and 14-6 on the year. East Bladen will await Monday’s 2A playoff pairings to be announced while East Columbus will find out on Monday who they will face in the 1A bracket.
