At Land O’ Lakes, the SFGA held its weekly tournament at Land O’ Lakes Golf Course at Whiteville on April 28. The tournament was a best two score format with 30 players in the event. The team of Rudy Taylor, Ray Crabtree, David Medlin, and Rob Conway took first with a score of 125 while the teams of John Blake, Chris Smith, George Cochran tied with Rodney Warwick, Stan Matthews, Charles Hungerford, and Rudy Pait with a score of 128 for second place.

At Vineyard at White Lake, Hutchens Glenn, Hayden Munn, Wilson Clifton, and Jimmy Schultz won the weekly Thundering Herd with a -7 score. 16 players participated in the event, which takes place every Thursday at 6 p.m. Call 910.247.6132 for more info about the Thundering Herd and other tournaments happening at Vineyard. At Vineland of Whiteville, every Thursday the course has 9-Hole Twilight Tournament that starts at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $18 for members and $21 for non-members.
