Fair Bluff Raid Nets Three Suspects, Drugs, Guns

Citizen complaints led to an investigation and raid on a suspected drug house in Fair Bluff April 30.

Fair Bluff Police said in statement that Randy Lee Dossie, Belinda Tyler and Devin McRoy were arrested after a longterm investigation.

“The investigation was initiated after multiple citizen complaints and further developed through surveillance operations and controlled purchases of illegal narcotics and alcohol from the location,” the press release said.

Officers seized cocaine, marijuana, multiple controlled prescription pills, firearms, alcohol, and U.S. currency at the 92 Center Street home.

Tyler, 47, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone and alprazolam; maintaining a dwelling for drug activities; possession and sale of alcohol without a permit; drug paraphernalia; and felony possession of cocaine. Her address was listed as 133 Scott Circle, Fair Bluff. Tyler was released on a $50,000 secured bond.

Dossie, 58, of 2029 Main St., Fair Bluff, was also charged with  possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, marijuana, oxycodone and alprazolam; maintaining a dwelling for drug activities; possession and sale of alcohol without a permit; drug paraphernalia; and felony possession of cocaine. He was held under $50,000 secured bond.

McRoy, 28, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver opiates. He was also charged as a habitual felon. His bond was set at $150,000.

The Fair Bluff Police Department was assisted by Chadbourn Police.

“Without the continued assistance and cooperation of our neighboring agencies, successful operations such as this would not be possible,” the press release said.

“The Fair Bluff Police Department remains committed to addressing criminal activity within our community,” FBPD Chef Chris Chafin said. “This operation is a direct result of the continued support and vigilance of our citizens. We thank the residents of Fair Bluff for their willingness to report suspicious activity and for their ongoing efforts to help make our town a safer place for all.

“I would also like to extend a special thank you to Chief Ken Elliott and the Chadbourn Police Department for their assistance and partnership during this operation.”
