The playoffs are beginning for baseball and softball this week. Whiteville baseball and East Columbus softball won their regular season conference titles. The Pack baseball squad was the Southeastern Conference regular season champions while the Gator Girls tied for the Carolina Conference regular season title. The playoff games are scheduled as:

#20 Union @ #13 East Bladen 6 p.m.
3A #13 Wilson Beddingfield @ #20 South Columbus 6 p.m.
Whiteville, the #4 seed and #5 seed West Bladen received a first round bye in the 3A bracket. The Pack will host the Bartlett-Yancey/Providence Grove winner on Friday at Legion Field. On Friday the Knights will host the Wake Prep/Pasquotank winner in Dublin.
