Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Welcome to the first week in May! We’ll enjoy dry and pleasant weather today and tomorrow thanks to high pressure pushing offshore. Humidity levels will be kept in check… until Wednesday.

Dewpoint values will rise on Wednesday ahead of a strong cold front that will move through the area on Thursday. Wednesday is going to feel like summer with highs in the mid to upper 80s, heat index values into the 90s, with a chance for afternoon showers or thunder.

A much better chance for showers and storms arrives with the front on Thursday… but the modeling suggests the overall coverage will be rather scattered. There’s also the potential for some stronger convection to come together depending on the timing of the frontal passage. A passage later in the afternoon would mean a higher potential for some stronger storms… we’ll just have to watch this.

Dry and very nice weather for the coming weekend.
