Families will get to enjoy a day of fun as well as education and wellness June 13 at the Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Columbus County Day of Hope will feature a backpack giveaway until noon, free physicals and more. The Lions vision Van will be providing eye exams.
Local law enforcement and first responders will hold a Touch-a-Truck at the event. The sheriff’s office will also be providing free fingerprinting for children.
Black’s Tire will have a race car on display, and kid-friendly activities will be going on all day. Families can enjoy free entertainment, education/informational exhibits, and more. Among the organizations represented will be Carolyn’s Kaleidoscope Child Advocacy center, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Waccamaw Police, Fire and Rescue, and more.
