Here’s today’s Bottom Line
The remnant low of Tropical Storm Arthur is responsible for showers and thunderstorms that will last through much of the morning hours, into the early afternoon. Some heavy rain is possible, along with some isolated strong wind gusts, this morning. Today’s rainfall could amount to a quick inch or so.
While an isolated shower is possible this evening, a drying trend takes place tonight.
A dry weekend is on tap as high pressure ridges back into place. Temperatures take off into the mid 90s by Sunday.
For next week, the typical summertime pattern of sunshine, heat, and afternoon storms becomes established. Thunderstorms will be isolated and focused primarily on the sea-breeze or the Piedmont trough each afternoon. Seasonably hot temps with highs in the lower 90s, lows in the mid 70s.
