Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Our pattern is evolving into one dominated by Bermuda high pressure offshore. This ridge will arch “backward” closer to our area as we move into next week.

Typical afternoon and early evening shower and thunderstorm activity can be expected along the sea-breeze boundary today…. lesser chances for Saturday (thanks to some dry air in place), increasing slightly Sunday and Monday, and then essentially disappearing Tuesday and Wednesday.

Highs will be in the 90s through the foreseeable future… rising from the lower 90s today to the mid and upper 90s by the end of the forecast period.

Bigger story will be the heat.

Heat index values are likely to be between 105-110 through at least the first half of next week. This really hot summer has more to offer, and heat advisories will likely be issued.
