Here’s today’s Bottom Line
“Hey Chris, what happened to the rain?”
Yeah…. Tuesday’s forecast was a pretty big bust.
But which kind of bust would you rather have? Where I say “sunny” and it rains and storms all day? … or where I say “rain and storms” and it ends up sunny and nice? I’ll take option number two for five-thousand, please.
But there’s no change in the pattern, so what happened? Most of the rain and thunderstorm activity went to our north and west. That’s all. There were a few scattered storm warnings and flood advisories… nothing significant… just not here.
And the pattern remains the same today and will remain pretty much the same tomorrow until the upper level low responsible for all of this weakens and dissipates while being replaced by Bermuda high pressure.
By Friday into the weekend we’ll have much more in the way of sunshine… but “seasonable” thunderstorm chances in the afternoon, mainly along the sea-breeze boundary. The heat returns by the weekend as well with heat index values likely going over the Misery Mark once again and overall temps go well above seasonal normal values.
