Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Bright sunny skies will dominate our weather through the entire work week. Temperatures begin a rise to well-above-normal … cresting around 90 for both Thursday and Friday. Sinking air with the significant high pressure ridge means very little even in cloud formation over the area.
A series of frontal systems starts to approach late Friday, and some tropical moisture will start to push northeast up the coast. There’s a bit of uncertainty in the modeling at this time and not much consistency… hence the lower percent chances for rain on Saturday.
TROPICS: Well, Fay continues to keep on keeping on. The storm continues to undergo rounds of daily pulsating convection, allowing for it to remain a tropical depression despite being disorganized and weak. Global models continue to suggest that Fay will degenerate into a trough during the middle of the week.
A new disturbance being watched by the NHC has about a 50% to 60% chance of becoming a tropical depression at some point this week. It’s life expectancy isn’t expected to be very long.
