Local Soccer Results: Knights Stay Strong; Pack Downs Red Devils

West Bladen remained unbeaten this week in the Southeastern Conference with a 9-1 win over South Columbus.

The Knights (2-0-1, 11-2-3) got five goals from Diego Santos plus teammate Alejandro Lopez Sandoval added three goals and three assists in the victory. South Columbus falls to 0-3 in the conference and 1-15 on the season. The Stallions will take on Whiteville (1-2, 5-8-3) on Monday, Oct. 5, in Whiteville. The Knights will host South Brunswick (3-0, 4-8-3) on Oct. 5 in a key conference matchup.

In Red Springs, the Wolfpack defeated the Devils 1-0. Kayden Price decided the contest with the only goal in the contest for Whiteville (1-2, 5-8-3). The Pack face West Columbus (1-10) at home today (Oct. 1).
Red Springs falls to 1-2-1 in the Southeastern Conference and 3-9-2 on the year. They will travel to South Brunswick (3-0, 4-8-3) on Oct. 8.

In Calypso, the Rebels of North Duplin (3-4, 3-5-1) squeaked past East Columbus 3-2. Roberson Godinez, James Wolf, and Dionicio Gonzalez each scored goals for the Rebels. North Duplin will travel to Delway to take on Union on Oct. 5.

Union remained undefeated in Carolina Conference play as they blanked West Columbus 9-0 on Wednesday. Kevin Luna scored four goals in the win.

The Spartans (7-0, 8-8), will host North Duplin on (3-4, 3-5-1) Monday. The Vikings (1-10) will travel to Whiteville (5-8-3) today.
