Eva Nell Sellers, age 73, of Tabor City, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in her home. Born February 20, 1948 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lou Bell Strickland and widow of her first husband: Jerry Sellers and second husband: Derrick Strickland. She is survived by her daughter: Sue Ann Sellers of Tabor City, one son: Michael Sasser (Jesse) of Tabor City, grandson: Chandler Sellers, granddaughter: Jesslyn Sasser and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Wendell Strickland and Kelly Ray Strickland and one sister: Esther Cribb Wagner. Eva Nell was a member of Jones Street Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at Columbus County Hospital for over 20 years. She had a caregiver’s heart and loved to take care of her patients.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Jones Street Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
