Ivory Ann Shird Parker, 79, formerly of Whiteville, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Azalea Health & Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, NC.
She was the widow of Ralph Parker and daughter of the late Bennie Shird and Cohilda Brown Shird of Whiteville, NC.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Friday, November 19, at First Baptist Church of Southport, 619 North Lord Street, Southport, NC, by Pastor Brian Monroe. Burial will be in the John N. Smith Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Friday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Ivory Dionne DeBerry of Leland, NC; son, Ralph Parker, Jr. of Nolensville, TN; sisters, her twin, Aubrey Shird, Joyce Shird, and Joan Shird of Chicago, IL, Davata Roseboro of Paterson, NJ, Ovelia Suggs of Whiteville, and Betty Baten of Oxon Hill, MD; and five grandchildren.
Friends may safely visit the family at 511 Clarendon Avenue, Southport, NC.
