A Sellers Town Road woman was arrested and jailed after she allegedly prepared marijuana for smoking on a Facebook Live videocast.

Candace Keene, 33, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, drug paraphernalia and damage to government property. Her bond was set at $4,000.

The sheriff’s office reported that an anonymous caller told detectives that Keene was on Facebook Live, preparing marijuana. Vice Narcotics agents watched the video, then went to her home.

Keene did not deny the video or her actions online, the CCSO said.

When investigators executed a search warrant on her home, they found prescription pills and marijuana. Keene was taken into custody, and while en route to the sheriff’s office, she allegedly threatened to urinate in the deputy’s patrol vehicle “on purpose.”

Greene thanked the anonymous caller, and encouraged other residents to call law enforcement if they suspect ay law is being broken.

“We want to thank the citizens that report concerns to us no matter how large or small,” Greene said in a press release. “In North Carolina marijuana is illegal and we have a duty to enforce all laws no matter the opinion. We have collected some marijuana that has contained fentanyl and other deadly drugs and narcotics.”
