Developing story
One person was shot to death at a home near Chadbourn today (Thursday).
The incident occured at a home near the intersection of Rough and Ready Road and N.C. 410.
Chief Deputy Aaron Herring said the sheriff’s office and medical examiner are on the scene. The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m.
The victim’s name has not been released. The killing is the fourth homicide in Columbus this year.
