Five dogs were adopted and around 100 rabies shots administered Saturday morning at Gurganus Farm Store in Whiteville.

Columbus Animal Protective Services brought a trailer full of shelter dogs for potential new owners to meet, greet and possibly take home. Ward’s Nuts and Honey had a variety of products for sale. Antique tractors from across the county were on display as well.
More than $1,000 worth of food, pet supplies and care products were donated for the event. Everything not handed out as door prizes will be turned over to APS on Monday.
Drawings for dog food and other supplies will take place on a Facebook live event Monday as well.
