Tabor City Police have charged a father and son with several larcenies.
Warrants show that Darrell Wayne Gore, 55, and Aaron Hunter Gore, 25, were charged with breaking, entering, and larceny after a series of thefts on Jan. 1 and Feb. 2. The elder Gore was also charged with obtaining property by false pretenses after pawning a bicycle.
Both men listed their address as 8737 Old Stake Road.
The men allegedly took appliances, jewelry, a cooker, a gas heater and other items valued at $3,640 from a home in the 10000 block of Old Stake on Jan. 1, according to warrants.
Darrell Gore then reportedly took a $200 bicycle that belongs to Chad Grubbs and paned it on Jan. 31, warrants show.
TCPD were called to the 600 block of Pireway Road Jan. 31 after Aaron Gore allegedly took a lawn mower and shingles, then dropped the items off at another location.
Both men were charged with taking a drop cord and five car batteries from M and M Automotive on Feb. 1. Aaron Gore was
identified as the man who took $5.72 worth of gas from the Vasco store on East Fifth Street on Feb. 6.
Both father and son were arrested by TCPD, and released on secured bonds.
