Metal Stolen From Scrap Dealer

In one of the more ironic thefts of late, several hundred pounds of scrap metal were stolen from a scrap metal dealer Friday.

Metal Recycling Services reported the theft just after 8 a.m. Saturday. The sheriff’s office said ten buckets and tubs with around $1,000 of brass, copper, and stainless steel were taken from the scrapper.

The business is located at 5192 J.B. White Hwy. South, Whiteville.

There are no reported suspects.
