Bond was revoked for a Kelly man arrested for a second time in Columbus County on drug charges.
Jordan Tyree Johnson, 21, of 1131 White Oak Rd., Kelly, was held on charges of maintaining a vehicle for drug purposes, conspiracy to traffic and trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, possession of drugs ina detention facility, and carrying a concealed weapon. Detention Center records show he was held without bond.
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies stopped Johnson’s Honda automobile on Old Stake Road after noticing the vehicle’s tag had been revoked, and there was an order for it to be picked up. Deputies initiated a traffic stop, the report said, and Johnson pulled over.
As Johnson was getting his license, the report said, deputies saw a bag containing what looked like crystal meth in Johnson’s coat pocket. He then allegedly tried to cover the pocket from view, at which point deputies instructed him to exit the car.
While they were searching Johnson, deputies found the bag of meth, a bag of crack cocaine, and a Glock 43X handgun, the report said.
While he was being processed, Johnson “went to retrieve money from the sock on his left foot and a pulled out a yellow baggie containing two grams of methamphetamine,” the report said.
Johnson was out on bond awaiting trial after an arrest in March. Court records show Johnson was arrested at the Hallsboro community park on Red Bug Road after complaints of drug activity in the area. He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for drug activity, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver drugs within 1,000 feet of a public park, possession of a firearm on county property, and drug paraphernalia. Vice narcotics agents seized three firearms and a quantity of drugs from his vehicle in the arrest.
Johnson was released on $5,000 secured bond in the March arrest.
