Fugitive Caught by Officers on Storm Patrol

Feleisha Goodman (CCSO)

A South Carolina murder suspect is in custody after narcotics detectives on storm duty spotted her vehicle in tabor city.

Feleshia Ann Goodman, 24, was allegedly involved in a shooting incident in Loris early Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.  As part of their investigation, the Horry County Sheriff’s Office and Loris Police broadcast an alert with a description of her vehicle.

Roughly 90 minutes later, narcotics detectives were in the Tabor City area assessing road conditions prior to the arrival of Hurricane Debby when they spotted Goodman’s car, the CCSO said. She was taken into custody and held under a fugitive warrant as a murder suspect. Goodman was placed under a $2 million bond.

Her address was listed in court documents as 239 Herbert Norris Rd., Tabor City.

Sheriff Bill Rogers praised the efforts of all involved agencies.

“The quick coordination between our team and the Loris Police Department was crucial in ensuring that this suspect was apprehended quickly and safely,” Rogers said. “Our narcotics detectives’ ability to adapt during the storm and focus on public safety demonstrates the dedication and professionalism of our department.”
