Pot Plants, Automatic Pistol Seized From Felon

Dustin Randall Duncan (CCSO)

A Tabor City area man is in jail after he allegedly had a suppressed handgun converted to fully automatic as well as a marijuana growing operation in his home.

Dustin Randall Duncan, 34, of 7922 Old Stake Rd., is being held under $225,000 secured bond on three counts of possession of a weapon of mass destruction, being a felon in possession of a firearm, maintaining a home for drug activities, manufacturing marijuana, breaking and entering, communicating threats, property damage, and violation of a domestic violence protection order.

The sheriff’s report said that Duncan was allegedly growing marijuana in his home, and agents found five plants.

Duncan also allegedly had a semi-automatic handgun with a conversion switch and a suppressor, both of which are illegal without federal tax stamps. Since he was convicted of felony breaking, entering and larceny in 2009, Duncan was ineligible to own a firearm of any kind.
